College of Opticians Board Elections: 

District 1 (Southern), District 5 (Toronto), and District 8 (Central) 

Nominations Close on September 10, 2020

An election will be held for Board of Directors positions in Districts 1 (Southern) and District 5 (Toronto), and District 8 (Central). The successful candidates will begin serving a three-year term of office starting Friday, January 1, 2021. The election closes on November 9 at 12:00 pm. 

Working with the College of Opticians is a rewarding way to contribute to public protection and the governing of the self-regulated profession of Opticianry. If you are a registered optician interested in using your knowledge and skill in the interest of public protection, consider seeking a nomination. 

How do I seek nomination? 

  1.  Download and review the Election Guidelines and Nomination Instructions, and FAQs. Please read all information in the nomination package and follow the instructions carefully. 
  2.  Complete the Pre-Election Training Module before completing your nomination form. 
  3.  Complete the Candidate Consent and Nomination Form and submit with the required attachments to the College by 12:00 pm on Friday, September 10 to elections@collegeofopticians.ca. Nomination packages must be accurate, complete and received by the deadline.
