Legacy Retired Opticians are former registrants who have been recognized by the College of Opticians of Ontario for their contributions and dedication to the profession of opticianry.
Legacy Retired Opticians are individuals who:
• Have permanently retired from the profession and are no longer registered with the College
• Practised for a significant period of time while registered with the College, and
• Were in good standing with the College when they retired.
You can apply for Legacy Retired Optician Status if you meet the criteria set out in the Legacy Retired Optician Policy. The College also accepts applications for Legacy status for opticians who have passed away, who would have otherwise met the criteria set out in the policy.
